SHS 2008 Volleyball               

             Tryouts in mid July were held, and these were the results:

Seniors

Wrapping up the season, Coach Gerlonda Hardin took over the 2008-2009 Lady Jackets Volleyball team.  Coach G, as the team calls her,  played prior to graduating from SHS 8 years ago. Along with her, she brought Coach Tandra, who also graduated from SHS. Both coaches shared similar interests in the sport of volleyball, and together they gave us the 2008-2009 Volleyball team.

Varsity brought their game on even being good sports and acting together as a team. Their record for the season was 1 win followed by 17 losses. On the last game of the season, Varsity battled Kenwood winning Senior Night giving the three departing graduates (Kenna, Tia, and Elizabeth) their best memory of this year’s volleyball team. Junior Varsity, equipped with brand new players, arrived, and dominated the court winning 8 games and only losing 6 out of all 14 games.  The team had a good run this year, and Coach G plans for further wins in the future. Great Job, Ladies, you did a fantastic job!
