There are numerous book lists for college bound students. These lists have numerous books that are highly recommended for students planning to attend college, both fiction and nonfiction.

Every five years, the ALA puts together a list of books that are recommended reading for future college students. The most recent list was created in 2004. Currently, the ALA is working on an updated list, to be released in 2009.

The College Board, which also administers the SAT, has a list called 101 Great Books .

Petersons, publishers of college and study guides, has their own College Bound Reading List .

These lists don't represent every great book for a college bound student, but they're a very good start.
